make my day

I dragged myself out of bed this morning
dreading the daily grind
Stopped and startin in the traffic churning
with too many things on my mind
Get to work to face that pile
of yesterday's things to do
and thinking all the while
I'd rather be home with you

The boss walks in growlin and cussin
Bout a customer who's a pain
I see his mouth movin, but don't hear the fussin
Cos I'm thinking once again
How you make my day
You do it every time
In every thing you say
You tell me everything's gonna be fine
So come what may
I'm just glad to know you're mine
Cos when I'm tired of it all
You make my day

I've gotta pay the bills without enough money
Choosin who I'm gonna make wait
Tunin the car is so overdue it ain't funny
And our Visa's on the highest rate
But when I stare at the ceiling
trying to figure it all
I am losing hope
Till I hear your call
And you make my day
You do it every time
In every thing you say
You tell me everything's gonna be fine
So come what may
I'm just glad to know you're mine
Cos when I'm tired of it all
You make my day
