Is the last place I couldn't find it
And the first time I find it
I'll know where it is

The next place I go
Is the place my mind's at
And if I get there at all
I think I'll know

It's always like this
The cracked egg too boiled
It never changes
Unused sheets never soiled

Socks without partners
Piled up by color on the bed
orphans aplenty
Here inside my head

Will you hep me see
Things I keep on missing
Find that elusive
Dream I've been kissing

The last place I looked
