remember that time

it wasn't that long ago, though it seems like an age
it wasn't that far away, just a paragraph or a page
and the memories replay the feelings over again
reminding me how strong your love's been
remember that day,
when it was hard to say
before I learned to form words the way
that named those feelings yet unheard?

remember that time
when I started to climb
hoping that you were so inclined
to love me even in my condition
remember that time?
the good days roll up, soon it's a good year
the bad days i'll give up, and it's so clear
There'll be laughing and crying in the days ahead
But when they're done, it becomes what's said

when we say
remember that day,
when it was hard to say
before I learned to form words the way
that named those feelings yet unheard?

remember that time
when I started to climb
hoping that you were so inclined
to love me even in my condition
remember that time?

remember that time?

remember that time?
