can you hear me now?

I don't always know what to say
Sometimes it takes time for me to figure it out
And even then I'm not always plain
And there are things I don't want so say out loud

There're some things I want to shout
And at the same time whisper only to you
And I'm thinking I could try it now
If I get the courage, that's what I'll do
Hey, when you are near
Everything gets clearer
I can say what's not allowed
So when I say I love you
I want to make sure
Can you, can you hear me now?
I've got some vague spots when I look inside
But you always see things that I just don't
Because I've always denied
them, and I can't bring them out alone

I know you're always listening
just not sure I'm always loud and clear
Gonna drop all my vagueries
And tell you exactly what's in here
Hey, when you are near
Everything gets clearer
I can say what's not allowed
So when I say I love you
I want to make sure
Can you, can you hear me now?
Can you hear me now? (am I saying it right)
Cam you hear me now? (am I out of line?)
Can you hear me now? (I'll say it one more time)
I love you, can you hear me now?
