hill climbing for beginners

these hills go up and down
they go running both directions
they criss-cross all over town
trying to mess with my conviction

there are times I wish everything was flat
easy to get around
yeah, i'd like it like that
but then i realize, it can't be that way
cos rain on the hills pourin down
washes the mud away

there's a hill where we can start
to bend our legs, and not fall apart
there's a hill that makes saints from sinners
and hill climing that's just right
for all of us beginners
