I'm in Love with the Majorette

I'm in love with the majorette
But I play the sousaphone
And we all know the trumpet boys get
The attention of the pretty ones

She's got perfect rhythm
She's got the greatest smile
And my hearts soars with it
When she throws the baton high

I'm in love with the majorette
But I play the sousaphone
When she looks my way, I forget
Which foot I start out on

She knows how to play with fire
And unwittingly, the flame in my heart
High stepping around my desire
To play a harmonious part

I'm in love with the majorette
But I play the sousaphone
And never ever will I get
The chance to take her home.
