I believe

We all want to know for sure, want to have things figured out
when it comes to love and life, we'd like to have no doubts
I've come to the conclusion I live a lot without knowing how
And as for love, I'm not sure about anything right now

But I still believe there's a sun that's going to shine
I expect it every morning; I see it every time
I still believe that I can learn some more
I believe you'll answer if I come knocking at your door
I believe that grace reveals and heals the wounds
and that His love will see me through
And in spite of what I've said and done,
Baby, I believe in me and you
When it comes to saying what's inside, I'm a neophyte
I've deceived myself for so long, it's hard to get it right
That's when you came along with your big soul flashlight
Showing me things I should have seen, and holding me through the night
'Cause I still believe there's a sun that's going to shine
I expect it every morning; I see it every time
I still believe that I can learn some more
I believe you'll answer if I come knocking at your door
I believe that grace reveals and heals the wounds
and that His love will see me through
And in spite of what I've said and done,
Darlin, I believe in me and you
I've seen proud men stumble; the unsuspected fall,
I've looked in the mirror and have been scared by what I saw
I've seen lovers hurt loved ones, have seen the roots of strife
I've read about the prowling lion that devours without taking life.
But I still believe there's a sun that's going to shine
I expect it every morning; I see it every time
I still believe that I can learn some more
I believe you'll answer if I come knocking at your door
I believe that grace reveals and heals the wounds
and that His love will see me through
And in spite of what I've said and done,
Cutes, I believe in me and you
