The strangest things have this effect on me
make me think of how it could be
if i had been whole enough
to keep friendship alive
if i could do it, and do it right
crazy things like construction sites
a crescent moon, a rainy night
greens, coppers, browns, black and whites
fluffy dogs, galactic fights
just the right songs, sound advice
my soul cries a prayer at these sights
for healing, and to be a friend of right
