Just a child
running free and wild
breeze blowing through her hair
makes new friends
dad puts it to an end
says, "you'd better stay 'way from there"

heart's on fire
it's a heavenly desire
to know God and all He's made
but she can't lock in
to what she's feeling within
cos it makes everyone else afraid
