there is a hope
that shines here
brighter, clearer
than one man can say

through ice and snow
or desert heat
or mountain's steep
ascent, ocean's wave

past genius
of humanity
beyond you, me
and all who are great

nothing compares
to eternal hope
high, but brought low
to those who will wait
