Walking in Superstition

a bit jittery
a scant bit afraid
hoping you'll be with me
when I leave the trail
not confident
but muy seguro
forced, but I won't relent
tall as the saguaro
I'm walking in Superstition
and finding evidence of faith
Spotting the hand in creation
Your reflection is in what you've made

I'm climbing out of perdition
no indulgences to pay
turning around with permission
and hearing what you had to say
a bit jittery
a scant bit afraid
hoping you'll be with me
when I leave the trail
